Small Charity Week

Join Our Christmas Campaign for Social Mobility through Football!

This holiday season, we have launched a campaign calledBoots for Social Mobility’ that aims to alleviate the financial pressures many families face in the UK. This campaign aims to keep giving children access to sports activities that positively affect both physical and mental health, and improve confidence and social inclusion.

We request new or pre-loved football kits, boots and trainers for children whose families face financial difficulties. We are also collecting money donations to ensure these free-of-charge community clubs can keep running despite the financial crisis in the charity sector.

This campaign is dedicated to empowering young people through football.

whatimpact.com provides a free platform that allows community groups to seek in-kind and financial donations. Across the UK, many community clubs offer free extracurricular activities with minimal barriers to participation. However, the charity sector is facing a funding crisis, and many community football clubs are struggling to stay afloat. Families are often forced to choose between essentials like food and purchasing things like football boots for their children.

For many young people, “football is life,” as highlighted in personal testimonials. The positive, far-reaching impact of sports and extracurricular activities is well-documented in numerous studies. To learn more about how access to these activities influences social mobility, click HERE.

Our Campaign Mission

To remove barriers so that every child, regardless of background, has the chance to play football. By providing new or pre-loved boots, kits, and support, we’re bridging the gap for underprivileged youth and ensuring they can participate without financial strain.

How to join us in making a difference?

Together, we can make this season brighter for young people across the UK. Whether you’re a company, an individual, or a team, your support helps us create a future where all kids can kickstart their dreams on and off the field.

Center of Excellence

In 2022, Hawa Abdi, with help from Sport Inspired, launched a children’s football club to bring local youth together to build skills and confidence.

The club was initially funded by a grant from the London Mayor, which has unfortunately been discontinued this year. Without this funding, covering venue and coaching costs has become a significant challenge, putting the club’s future at risk.
